Real Simple Magazine: 6 Surprising Reasons Why Gratitude is Great for Your Health

My Mother-in-law knows that I blog. She was on her way to my house to take my son to school (she has been doing that so I don’t have taken the baby out yet). She was listening to the radio and they were discussing an article on gratitude that was in Real Simple Magazine. My mother-in-law thought it would make a good post for my blog. So, I looked up the article online and it was a good but interesting article.

They have six good reasons on why you should either make/keep a grateful list or keep a grateful journal.

  1. You’ll be happier
  2. You’ll boost your energy levels
  3. You’ll be healthier
  4. You’ll be more resilient
  5. You’ll improve your relationships
  6. You’ll be a nicer person

Every night when I tuck my son into bed I ask my son what the best art of his day was. But reading this article makes me want to add to our bedtime routine, what is one thing he is thankful for. I think this would help my son and myself. After he gives his answer, I answer the same question (What is the Best Part of your Day?).

I suggest you read the article for yourself. Just click on the link,
